Solid State Microwave Components

Level of development and a state of technology of solid-state microwave devices and IC are a crucial factor in determining the possibility of creating the solid-state electronic component base for the modern and advanced electronic equipment in the range of centimeter and millimeter wavelengths – radar systems, communication and navigation.

At the RI Orion the upgraded silicon and gallium arsenide technologies are created and maintained in active condition. Production and technological base of the enterprise with the closed technological cycle provides research, development and production of a wide range of active and passive semiconductor devices, modules and components based on silicon and gallium arsenide. The company has conducted research and development aimed at creating a new generation of microwave devices on the basis of advanced semiconductor materials InP, GaN. The above allows us to create different classes of solid-state components, modules and devices of the millimeter wave, as well multifunctional devices based on them, which meet the highest requirements.

Below is the information about electronic devices of centimeter and millimeter ranges created at the RI Orion. The devices demonstrate the high potential of the enterprise in the field of research, development, design and manufacture of component base of microwave electronics for modern and advanced electronic equipment.

Multifunctional Modules

The multifunctional modules of М353ххх type are presented. These modules are designed to operate at frequencies of Ka- and W-bands in the communication systems and facilities as well in radar equipment for various applications.

Oscillating Modules

  • radio measuring equipment

Amplifying Modules

The amplifying modules such as continuous mode М321ххх type and pulse mode M322хххtype are presented. These modules are designed to operate at frequencies from 26 to 100 GHz in the receive and transmit equipment of general purpose.

Control Modules

The control modules, made on p-i-n diodes of our own production, such as attenuators М347ххх type, modulators М343хххtype, switches М342ххх type are presented. These modules are designed to control the amplitude or phase of the microwave signal in the equipment of general purpose and onboard equipment in the frequency range from 18 up to 170 GHz.

Converter Modules

The broadband detector sections М334ххх type in the frequency range from 18 to 400 GHz, balanced mixers М332ххх type and active frequency multipliers of high multiplication factor of frequency conversion М331ххх type in the frequency range of 80–150 GHz are presented. These modules are intended for use both in the equipment of general purpose and in onboard equipment.
